News Release - August 1, 2008 LONG WEEKEND HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION REMINDERHighways and Infrastructure Minister Wayne Elhard reminds motorists to please drive safely this coming long weekend and keep an eye on new and ongoing construction projects when travelling. "I hope everyone has a great Saskatchewan Day long weekend, but please keep in mind the tremendous amount of activity taking place on our highways," Elhard said. "Motorists should take into account construction zones so they can plan the best and safest route possible. Motorists are also reminded to slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, use caution and be prepared to stop as directed."
