News Release - September 24, 2012 GRADE 4 STUDENTS CELEBRATE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LEGISLATIVE BUILDINGToday, as part of the province's year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, Education Minister Russ Marchuk visited a Grade 4 class at Albert Community School to talk about the history of the building and assemble 3-D models of the legislature with the students. "To commemorate the building and what it represents to the people of Saskatchewan, we have created a miniature model of the legislature for Grade 4 students to build in their Social Studies class," Marchuk said. "The model supports our curriculum outcomes, and is a unique keepsake as we prepare to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Legislative Building in October." The Saskatchewan Legislative Building models are being delivered to all Grade 4 classrooms across the province. This event is part of the province's year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Legislative Building, which will culminate with a public event on October 11, 2012.
