News Release - April 18, 2006 NEW MEMBER NAMED TO SASKATOON REGIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY
Health Minister Len Taylor today announced the appointment of Paul Meinema of Saskatoon to the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority.
"I am pleased that the province's health authorities continue to attract members with a wide range of experience and skills," Taylor said. "This appointment brings our Regional Health Authority up to full strength," health authority chair Darlene Eberle said. "I look forward to having Mr. Meinema on the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority." Meinema is the President of the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union, Local 1400, representing over 5,500 members. He has been involved in various community and volunteer groups such as the United Way of Saskatoon and Parkridge Community Association. The appointment is in effect until July 2008. The province's health authorities are responsible for the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of health services within each of 12 health regions. -30- For More Information, Contact:
