PRESIDENT AND CEO OF SASKATCHEWAN LIQUOR AND GAMING AUTHORITY APPOINTED

Premier Lorne Calvert today announced the appointment of Barry Lacey as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA).

Lacey has been with the Saskatchewan public service for 20 years, including management positions with the office of the Provincial Auditor and Saskatchewan Health.  For the past six years he has been SLGA’s vice-president of Corporate Services and acting CEO for the past seven months.  Lacey is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.

“Mr. Lacey’s demonstrated experience in financial management and stewardship, in forging strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, and in effectively balancing the critical roles played by SLGA in the liquor and gaming industries will serve the Saskatchewan public well,” Calvert said.”

SLGA is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation responsible for the distribution, management, operation and regulation of liquor and most gaming across the province.
