News Release - May 3, 2004 NEW LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD VICE-CHAIR APPOINTED
Angela Zborosky has been appointed as Vice-Chairperson of the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board for a five-year term effective July 1st, 2004.
"Ms. Zborosky has extensive experience in the practice of labour law," Labour Minister Deb Higgins said. "That experience, in conjunction with her strong administrative background, will allow her to make a valuable contribution to the work of the Board." Zborosky obtained her Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Regina and her law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She has been in private practice in Regina since 1991. She is currently in practice with the firm of Silversides Kovatch Zborosky Beauchemin. The Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board is a quasi-judicial tribunal that adjudicates disputes under The Trade Union Act and deals with applications for union certification or decertification. The board operates independently of government and is comprised of equal numbers of employee and employer representatives. The position at the Board became vacant when former Vice-Chairperson James Seibel was appointed Chairperson in October, 2003. -30- For More Information, Contact:
