NOVEMBER 15TH CLAIM DEADLINE FOR CROP INSURANCE

Crop Insurance customers are reminded November 15th is the deadline to submit production declarations and register any post-harvest claims for 2005. Production declaration information must be filed before a post-harvest claim can be registered.

"A Crop Insurance contract protects producers against losses in yield and quality," Saskatchewan Crop Insurance General Manager Stan Benjamin said. "When submitting your production declaration information, Crop Insurance staff will inform you if you are in a claim position."

All Saskatchewan producers are eligible under the Wildlife Damage Compensation Program; however, wildlife damage inspections must be made prior to harvest. If you have received wildlife damage, contact a Crop Insurance customer service office immediately.

Producers who are unlikely to complete harvest by November 15th must apply for an extension of insurance. If coverage is extended, the producer is insured for yield and grade losses occurring over winter, up to their production guarantee.
