MARTINOT INQUEST

An inquest into the death of Shawn Martinot will be held May 30th to June 2nd, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the La Ronge Provincial Court Building, 1320 La Ronge Avenue.

Martinot, aged 38 years, died August 30th, 2004, in La Ronge.

Section 19 of The Coroners Act, 1999, states that the Chief Coroner may direct that an inquest be held into the death of any person. In addition to establishing who died, when and where the individual died, the medical cause of death and the manner of death, the coroner's jury may make recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future. Inquests are open to the public.

Coroner Alma Wiebe of Saskatoon will preside at the inquest.
