THE ROYAL SASKATCHEWAN MUSEUM IS CALLING ALL KIDS

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum is launching its new "Kids Domain" web page on Friday, August 8 at 11:30 a.m. dedicated to expanding the minds of children.

"Today's youth are traveling the internet, and we are excited to offer this new adventure on the Royal Saskatchewan Museum's website," Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Christine Tell said. "I encourage all ages to visit www.royalsaskmuseum.ca and take this opportunity to learn and experience all it has to offer."

To help celebrate this launch, the museum has invited 30 enthusiastic youngsters, currently attending an RSM Associates day camp, to be the first to experience "Kids Domain". The stories and characters of the museum galleries will be at their fingertips. Kids change and so will "Kids Domain" - visit often and see what is new.

"Children of all ages constitute an important part of the museum's visiting public. With the launch of the "Kids Domain" the RSM has extended this programming to the World Wide Web," Royal Saskatchewan Museum Director David Baron said. "We believe featuring interactive games, enhancements for home computers, and a beautifully illustrated encyclopedia based on Saskatchewan's natural history and Aboriginal cultures, the 'Kids Domain' will be a fun and educational resource for school-aged children."

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum is the oldest museum in the province but has a young and adventurous attitude. Seek out "Kids Domain" at www.royalsaskmuseum.ca and Discover Your World.
