News Release - April 26, 2011 CARLYLE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY PLEADS GUILTY TO OHS CHARGESG.M. Construction Ltd. has plead guilty to three charges under The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act in Carlyle Provincial Court. The company was charged after an OHS officer conducted a routine inspection of a worksite in Carlyle in July, 2010. G.M. Construction Ltd. was fined a total of $1,560 for:
Four additional charges against G.M. Construction Ltd. were stayed in court. Injuries caused by falls represent almost 13 per cent of all workplace injuries reported. OHS has a zero tolerance approach to violations of fall protection.
