PRAIRIE NORTH REGIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY MEMBERS NAMED

Health Minister Len Taylor today announced the appointment of four members to the Prairie North Regional Health Authority.

"The new health authority members have records of service to the community and the pursuit of excellence," Taylor said. "Their extensive experience and skills will be an asset to the health authority in its work of improving the health of people in the region."

The appointments are in effect until July 2008. The province's health authorities are responsible for the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of health services within each of 12 health regions.

Named to the health region are:

- Donald Duncan, education administrator, Lloydminster, Alberta;
- David Esterby, social worker and adminstrator, Meadow Lake;
- Flora Fiddler, human resources officer, Meadow Lake; and
- Michael Zaychkowsky, financial services manager, North Battleford.

"I look forward to working side by side with these new health authority members," Prairie North Regional Health Authority chair Bonnie O'Grady said. "We welcome the perspectives and knowledge of local issues that these new appointees will bring to the table."

Taylor acknowledged the valued service of former health region members Elaine Yaychuk of Meadow Lake and Donald Whittaker of Marwayne, Alberta.
