News Release - May 24, 2012 SASKATCHEWAN ADVANTAGE SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE TO LAKELAND COLLEGE STUDENTSRecently, Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration Minister Rob Norris officially announced the new Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship.
The scholarship will provide new Grade 12 graduates from Saskatchewan who enroll at a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution, including both Lakeland College campuses, with up to $500 per year to a lifetime maximum of $2,000 over 10 years. "I am excited to see more opportunities for Saskatchewan post-secondary students," Crown Investments Corporation Minister and Lloydminster MLA Tim McMillan said. "The new Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship will help more Lloydminster Grade 12 graduates pursue their post-secondary studies closer to home." The Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship will reduce tuition for students entering post-secondary programs starting after April 1, 2012, and applies to a broad array of programs that are recognized for Canada-Saskatchewan Student Loans.
