NEW DEPUTY MINISTER OF GOVERNMENT SERVICES

Deputy Minister to the Premier Garnet Garven today announced changes in the senior civil service.

Associate Deputy Minister Ron Dedman moves from Executive Council to become Deputy Minister of Government Services.

"Mr. Dedman is a professional engineer who brings extensive government and private sector experience to his new role," Garven said.
Acting Deputy Minister of Government Services Phil Lambert returns to his position of Assistant Deputy Minister.

"Mr. Lambert has provided strong leadership in his role of Acting Deputy Minister in that Ministry and his contribution is very much appreciated," Garven said.

"I would like to thank Mr. Lambert for his service as Acting Deputy Minister," Premier Brad Wall said. "I also look forward to Mr. Dedman's contribution as the new Deputy Minister."
The announced changes take effect Feb. 1, 2009.
