PREMIER’S AWARD PRESENTED TO PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYEES

Premier Brad Wall presented the 2012 Premier's Award for Excellence in the Public Service today.

"The Premier's Award for Excellence in the Public Service is an honour that is reserved for those public servants who have gone above and beyond in their work for the betterment of the people of Saskatchewan," Wall said. "Their work has improved the lives of people across the province and for that, I thank them."

The Premier's Award for Excellence recognizes public service employees in three categories: Innovation, Quality Service and Leadership.

The individual and team recipients are:

• Dr. Moira McKinnon, Leadership in Improving the Health of Saskatchewan People - Ministry of Health (Leadership)
• Blood Products Inventory Lean Team - Ministry of Health (Quality Service)
• Ireland Labour Recruitment Mission Team - Ministry of the Economy (Quality Service)
• Results-Based Regulation Code Secretariat Team - Ministry of Environment (Innovation)
• Wollaston Lake Housing Project Team - Ministry of Social Services and Ministry of Government Relations (Quality Service)
• Youth Advisory Group Team - Ministry of Central Services (Leadership)

Individuals or teams from government ministries, most Treasury Board Crown corporations, boards, commissions and agencies are eligible for nomination by the public service, stakeholder organizations, clients and the public. Selections are made by an independent committee.
