News Release - February 13, 2009 ST. PETER'S COLLEGE RECEIVES INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTAs part of a $26.4 million investment in Saskatchewan's advanced education system, St. Peter's College is receiving a major renovation. "St. Peter's provides an important opportunity for young people to begin their post-secondary instruction in a unique, intimate setting," Advanced Education, Employment and Labour Minister Rob Norris said. "This investment will help to ensure that the College is able to meet the needs of learners in the region well into the future." When combined with college's ongoing fundraising efforts, this investment will help St. Peter's to proceed with much-needed building improvements. Planned work includes: • electrical and mechanical system upgrades; "This investment achieves two important goals," Norris said. "It helps us to address our ongoing talent challenge by enhancing our ability to educate young Saskatchewan people, and it creates new opportunities and new economic activity for the region."
