News Release - February 19, 2010 CALVERT CONSTRUCTION LTD. PLEADS GUILTY TO OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY VIOLATIONCalvert Construction Ltd. pled guilty to one charge and was fined $480 for violating Saskatchewan's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulations.
The charge was for failing to ensure workers use a fall protection system where a worker may fall three metres or more, contravening section 116(2)(a) of the OHS Regulations. A second charge was stayed. Occupational Health and Safety has a zero tolerance approach to non-compliance or violations of fall protection legislation.
