NEW APPOINTMENTS TO CYPRESS REGIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY

Health Minister Don McMorris announced today the appointment of Swift Current accountant Tyler Bragg and Frontier lawyer Elaine Anderson to the Cypress Regional Health Authority Board. Bragg will serve as the new chairperson.

Bragg is senior partner of Pinnacle Financial Services and is involved with several community organizations and committees as well as professional associations.

Anderson is an associate with the law firm Kanuka Thuringer. She is also active with several community organizations and committees.

"With the increasing complexity of issues faced by regional health authority boards, I am confident Elaine Anderson and Tyler Bragg will add depth to the board," McMorris said. "I also want to thank the former board members for their many years of service to the health system."

"Health care and health promotion are very important issues for the people in Cypress Health Region," Bragg said. "I look forward to working with my fellow regional health authority board members and management to set direction for maintaining and improving quality care and access to services for southwest Saskatchewan residents."

"We look forward to the diversity of skills and experiences that these two high quality individuals bring to our board table," Cypress Health Region CEO Jim Hornell said. "As we continue to strategically plan for the provision of quality health services and address the challenges facing us, an increase in the number of board members is indeed a benefit."

The role of chair was vacated when Dennis Lafreniere stepped down before moving out of the health region. Ron Heeg has served as acting chair in the interim.
