News Release - March 5, 2013 SASKATOON BASED CONSTRUCTION COMPANY PLEADS GUILTY TO LABOUR STANDARDS VIOLATIONSR & D Drywall Inc. operating in Saskatoon pleaded guilty in Saskatoon Provincial Court on two charges under Saskatchewan’s Labour Standards Act and has been fined $400. R & D Drywall Inc. was found guilty on two counts: failing to deliver payroll records and failing to keep proper payroll records. Other related charges against the company’s director were stayed. The Labour Standards Division of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety supports fair and equitable workplace practices through public awareness and enforcement of The Labour Standards Act and regulations as well as other labour legislation. Whenever necessary, violations will be prosecuted. In the past twelve months, six employers have been convicted for violating different provisions of the legislation. Additional prosecutions against seven employers are currently pending.
