SASKATCHEWAN JOINS WESTERN PROVINCES TO COMBAT CRIME
Attorneys General and Solicitors General from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are meeting in Winnipeg this week to discuss initiatives to combat crime in all four provinces.
"By using combined resources to discuss the relevant issues with our counterparts, we are better able to develop initiatives to prevent crime and enhance the justice system on a provincial and national level," Corrections, Public Safety and Policing Minister D.F. (Yogi) Huyghebaert said.
National police services, strategies for dealing with gangs and organized crime, and provincial initiatives to combat online sexual exploitation are some of the topics on the agenda.
