An inquest into the death of Linda Sahpassum will be held Nov. 7th-10th, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Prince Albert Queen's Bench Courthouse, 1800 Central Avenue.

Sahpassum, aged 48 years, died Aug. 3rd, 2004, at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

Section 19 of The Coroners Act, 1999, states that the Chief Coroner may direct that an inquest be held into the death of any person.

In addition to establishing who died, when and where the individual died, the medical cause of death and the manner of death, the coroner's jury may make recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future. Inquests are open to the public.
