PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

The Saskatchewan Agri-Food Council is a board appointed by the provincial government to monitor the activities of marketing and development agencies established under The Agri-Food Act 2004.

SAVI provides information services, business assessment tools, and financial assistance in key business management areas to help value-added businesses make sound business decisions and capture market opportunities.

A centralized source of agri-food statistical information, describing trends to facilitate decisions and for industry promotion and development.

The ADF provides project funding on a competitive basis to researchers in public and private research and development.

The Beef Development Fund (BDF) supports the development and diversification of Saskatchewan's beef industry through the funding of projects related to production research, technology transfer, and development and promotion of new products.

To develop environmentally sound intensive livestock operations Agricultural Operations personnel provide technical support to applicants for facility design, nuisance and pollution control, waste management and public process.

Information on the non-refundable income tax credit designed to encourage plant and equipment investment in Saskatchewan.

Ensures that commercial pesticide application is conducted in a safe and responsible manner by knowledgeable applicators.

The Manufacturers Guide is a database of Saskatchewan manufacturers, searchable by company name, community, product or NAICS code.

Profiles and promotes Saskatchewan's organic industry to an international audience.

Gathers data that will assist industry stakeholders in assessing the scope and nature of the special crops processing sector, and provides primary producers with information about processors and the services they offer.
