PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

The Access and Privacy Branch helps provincial and local governments protect the personal information of Saskatchewan people and respond to requests for information.
In January 2008, the federal government announced the $1-billion Community Development Trust Fund intended to help support activities that strengthen economic opportunities for communities negatively affected by global financial and commodity market disruption.
The Community Planning Branch of Municipal Affairs provides planning tools and services to assist municipalities with planning and development.
Effective April 1, 2009, the province will set the property tax mill rates used to levy education taxes by all public school divisions. The net benefit will be lower property tax overall for Saskatchewan people.

MID provides a central access point for municipal information maintained by the Government of Saskatchewan and non-government organizations.
Saskatchewan's climate change impacts \nand adaptation information centre, SaskAdapt, will help you make adaptation decisions by providing access to the latest information on climate change, its impacts on Saskatchewan and climate change adaptation actions and options in Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Infrastructure Growth Initiative (SIGI) helps municipalities with the cost of infrastructure planning and improvements by providing municipalities with interest rate subsidies for five years on $300 million of municipal borrowing.
SaskH2O.ca brings together, under one web address, information and services available from the Government of Saskatchewan that relate to water, regardless of the department or agency that produces the information or offers the service.
