Programs and Services Business DevelopmentThe Regional Programs and Services Branch provides business, co-operative and community economic development support through assessment, information, pathfinding and referral services. It encourages job creation by Saskatchewan’s business community by co-ordinating and delivering comprehensive small business support systems in partnership with the public and private sectors. The Small Business Loans Association Program (SBLA) encourages diversification of the Saskatchewan economy and supports community economic development by making funding available, through community-run organizations, to non-traditional entrepreneurs. The branch also works with community leaders to support and strengthen community economic development in partnership with the province’s Regional Economic Development Authorities (REDAs). REDAs offer a co-ordinated, co-operative approach to regional and provincial economic development. The branch’s services are delivered through the department’s eight Regional Offices located in Estevan, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Yorkton. A toll-free line will automatically connect Saskatchewan residents to the nearest Regional Office. Several of these offices are co-located with partner organizations in Regional Enterprise Centres and also feature satellite sites of the Canada-Saskatchewan Business Service Centre (CSBSC).
